Rebel Simcard v64 Added to Rebel Firmware Download Section

Hello and Great news for all you Rebellers

We have collected very good Feedback from all beta testers for v64 of the rebel sim firmware.

V64 Beta can now be downloaded by all users To Try in the Rebel Sim Firmware Download Section

As you know thier 1000’s of types of network simcards designs in use worldwide.

The Rebel Simcard has provided support for more network simcards from around the world which can renew network simcard keys in the iphone 3G.

No other unlock simcard that is software upgrable like rebel simcard exits that provides thier users with the Free updates and with World First Solutions.

As users of other unlock simcards are aware of problems where renewing of network simcard keys is not possible and they need to take out the network sim place in  a 2g phone to get network back and then place thier network simcard back in the iphone 3G.

This process of manually having to obtian network keys in another phone and then placing back in the iphone 3G can be quite a pain staking task and now 90 percent of rebel sim users do not need to do this.

Rebel Sim added the network renew function back in the v57  and v61 firmware  and have extended the support for renewal in v64

This mean that being a rebel simcard user you are able to travel freely without the need to worry like other unlocking simcard users who dont have the peace of mind like you do that if your network is lost when using rebel simcard then it can be regianed automatically or by using the air plane mode on/off or a reboot of the iphone 3G at most.

We do have another firmware in beta testing the v71 which can Renew the Network if lost without the need to power on and off or use air plane mode on and off. As soon as we have enough feedback from the beta testers that the firmware has good compatibality all around the world we will release this for all users.

Apple iphone v3.0 beta 2 unlocked using Rebel Simcard

We just got the announcement from the Rebel Simcard Developement Team  iPhone OS 3.0 beta 2 has been tested succesfully using Rebel Simcard V61

 

All users who have currently updated to the iphone 3g v3.0 beta 2 can still use the latestV61  firmware from us to unlock the iphone 3G .

Apple iPhone V3.0 OS Firmware w/ Installation Guide

This is a pre-release version of iPhone 3G OS 3.0. This is the original .IPSW file from Apple servers. This can be installed on any iPhone 3G but you need to have your iPhone registered to be able to sync with your PC/Mac via iTunes.

To Roll Back To older OS Version Please do the Following:

1. Open Up iTunes 
2. Have Your iPhone Connected To Your Computer
3. Hold Down The Power/Sleep Button And The Home Button For Exactly 10 Seconds. 
4. Then Release The Power/Sleep Button And Continue To Hold The Home Button Until iTunes Brings Up A Message Saying Your iPhone Is In DFU Mode. 
5. Click Ok Or Whatever It Is So That It Closes That Popup. 
6. Hold Shift Then Click Restore. 
7.Then Make sure You Have Downloaded the ISPW Firmware Called: iPhone1,2_2.2_5G77_Restore. (MAKE SURE ITS iPhone1,2_2.2_5G77_Restore AND NOT iPhone1,1_2.2_5G77_Restore CAUSE THAT FOR THE 2G IPHONE). 
8. Let It Restore Once Its Finished You Will Get An Error Thats Normal It Will Most Likely Be 1015 Or Something Like That. 
9. Download Quick Pwn 2.2.1. 
10. Then Open Up Quick Pwn With You iPhone Connected To Your PC And It will then Say That You Need To Hold The Power/Sleep Button And The Home button For Exactly 15 Seconds Then Release The Power/Sleep Button And Continue To Hold The Home Button For 2 Seconds. This will Then boot your iPhone To the Emergency Call screen. 
11.Open up iTunes And Let It Activate Your iPhone. 
12. Then Restore your iPhone From A Previous Backup If you Have One.

How to Jailbreak Your 2.x.x 3G iPhone Using QuickPwn (Windows)

These are instructions on how to jailbreak and Activate your 3G iPhone to the 2.1-2.2.1 iPhone firmware using QuickPwn for Windows.

We always advise to use itunes to Activate you iphone 3G.

However many users who have purchased an iphone 3G from another country and do not have the orignal network simcard cannot do this on itunes online.

This Tutorial can Activate a non activated iphone 3g and also can jailbreak using the same method.

Step One

Create a folder called Pwnage on your desktop.

Download the following files and place them in the Pwnage folder you just created:

– QuickPwn-225-2.zip

FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO UNLOCK:

– 2.2.0 (3G): iPhone1,2_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw

FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT TO UNLOCK:

– 2.2.1 (3G): iPhone1,2_2.2.1_5H11_Restore.ipsw

Extract the QuickPwn-225-2.zip file to the Pwnage folder.

Step Two

Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes.

Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left. Now hold down shift and click the Restore button. Restore is preferred as it won’t create any wasted space on your iPhone.

Navigate to the Pwnage folder on your desktop and select the firmware ipsw. Click the Open button to continue.

Step Three

Once iTunes has finished updating your iPhone to the desired firmware you may launch QuickPwn.exe from the Pwnage folder on your desktop.

Step Four

Make sure you iPhone is connected to the computer and click the blue arrow to continue.

Step Five

Click the Browse button to locate your iPhone firmware.

Step Six

Select the firmware ipsw from the Pwnage folder on your desktop then click the Open button.

Step Seven

QuickPwn will check to make sure the ipsw is valid. Click the blue arrow button to continue.

Step Eight

You can now select whether to Add Cydia, Add Installer, or Replace Boot Logos. Select the ones you would like to perform then click the clue arrow button

Step Nine

QuickPwn will now ask you to confirm your iPhone is connected via USB before continuing. Click the blue arrow button to proceed.

Step Ten

QuickPwn will now automatically put your iPhone into recovery mode. Once its in recovery mode you will be prompted to: Hold the Home button for 5 seconds, Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds, then release the Power button and continuing holding the Home button until your iPhone is in DFU mode.

Watch the prompts carefully and follow along.

Step Eleven

Once QuickPwn detects your iPhone in DFU mode it will begin the jailbreak process.

Step Twelve

Once jailbreaking is complete QuickPwn will inform you that it was successfull.

As You know we have a new version of rebel simcard firmware releasing on the 27th Novemeber.

The new firmware will allow use of iPhone 3g features for voice and data as well as 2G

However we are aware their are thousands of rebel simcard card users who don’t yet have a USB programmer to update their rebel simcard with.

At the the same time as you are aware other companies that supply unlocking simcards would like to sell all clients a new simcard as their olders simcards have stopped working on iPhone 3g v2.2 and they do not have updatable firmware functions.

Lucky for all Rebel simcard that they can simply using mode 1 still use the iphone 3g model with 2g functionality and have not been locked out do not need to purchase a new simcard.

How to change mode of rebel simcard to 1 to use with 2.2

The new update from rebel simcard team will allow users to use rebel simcard with iphone 3g v2.2 without the need to make a mode change of rebel simcard as rebel simcard new firmware verstion will work in Auto mode.
